A 5K road race will be the start of festivities for Medomak Valley Land Trust’s fourth annual River Festival on Sat., Sept. 4.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 8 from the A.D. Gray Middle School on School Street in Waldoboro.
The book “Midcoast Trails” is guaranteed to those who pre-register, and there will be prizes for the top overall finishers and age division winners.
The race entry fee is a donation to the Medomak Valley Land Trust of $15 for pre-registration (trail book included) and $15 for day of registrations.

After the 5K race, enjoy the rest of the River Festival activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Waldoboro Village parking lot behind Waltz’s Pharmacy. Admission is free, and activities include a cookout, live music, a market of farmers and artisans, children’s activities and more.
