CLC YMCA gymnasts brought home gold at the Northeast Regional YMCA meet in Glastonbury Conn. To qualify for Regionals, gymnasts had to hit the qualifying mark twice during the regular season.

Winning individual gold medals were Reed Gulden, 10, of Walpole, on the balance beam; and Emma Hall, 12, of Damariscotta, on the vault.
Earning silver were Gulden on vault, floor exercise and all around; Katie Colomb on bars; Emma Hall all around; and Erika Johnson on vault. Emily Kelsey won bronze on the vault.
“This team has had amazing results against the largest field of competitors in the meet’s history,” said CLC Y coach Janice Cormier-Hay. “The girls continued to put up personal best scores and even those who did not climb the podium had the meets of their lives. Coach Betsy Lee and I are very proud of their hard work and grace under a lot of pressure.”

Reece Instasi of Waldoboro, age 8, came in 7. vault, 8.875; 14. bars, 7.575; 12. beam, 8.225; 8. tied floor, 8.6.
Kayla Reardon, age 9, came in 10. (tied) vault, 8.7; 17. bars, 8.7; 10. beam, 8.9; 12. floor, 8.4.
Molly Taylor, age 12 and up, came in 15. tied vault, 8.45; 7. bars, 9.0 (Personal Best); 17. beam, 7.1; and 15. floor, 8.55.
