Waterville girls won the KVAC championships under the lights at Morse Friday night with a 4-1 victory over Lincoln Academy. The Purple Panthers had not given up a goal all year and had out scored their opponents 79-0 during the regular season.
Waterville scored first. Sophie Schumacher collected a Lillian Bisset through pass, beat a defender and Waterville keeper to tie the game 1-1 at the half, and become the only player all season to breach the Panther’s net.
