The Wheels capped off a 12-0 undefeated season with a 14-5 victory over the Legion in the Lincoln Little League championship game.
The Legion started the game off hot with three runs on five hits in the top of the first, two of which came by way of a home run by Jason Greenleaf.
The Wheels retaliated with a run in the bottom half of the inning after a Quincy Perry triple and passed ball. The Wheels would then go on to have a big second inning, scoring
three runs to go up 4-3.
The Legion would come back to score two in the top of the third to retake the lead, 5-4. After that inning, the Wheels took over the game, scoring three in the third, five in
the fourth, and two in the fifth to win the game 14-5.
Hitting for the Wheels were Perry with a home run, triple, and single; Adam Sirois two doubles and a single, Colby Clark and Erik Harvey with a double and two singles each,
Wyatt Poland two singles, and Tiger Cummings, Jayden Dolloff, and Gavin Dolloff a single each.
Hitting for the Legion were Jason Greenleaf a home run, double, and single; Sean Gray a double and single, Zach Tozier and Liam Moss two singles each, and Josh Tomasello and
Joseph Giberson a double each.
