Wiscasset boys’ basketball team has won their last three games to improve their season record to 5-5. The Wolverines beat Winthrop 50-43 on Saturday, and crushed Lisbon Tuesday night on the road, 86-33.
Caleb Bryant and Austin Haskell had career high scoring nights for Wiscasset. Wiscasset dominated every facet of the game, forcing 23 turnovers, and out rebounding Lisbon 52-24.
Scoring for Wiscasset were Bryant with 22 (11R), Haskell 14 (3R,6S,2A), Travis Padilla 14 (12R,5S), Jordan Jones 11 (4A), Devin Grover 8 (5R,3S,4A), Jason Weatherbee 6 (12R), John Rines 4 (2R), Corey Hodgdon 2 (2S,3A), James Andretta 2, Zach Ellison 2, and Ben Sutter 1. Sutter has a class three sprain, and Grover “walked out of there. They both have a fighting chance to get back,” coach Dana Lawrence said.
In the final period “we created more turnovers and started finishing under the basket,” coach Dana Lawrence commented. “Caleb Bryant did an outstanding job, along with Travis Padilla of holding Foster to two points,” Lawrence added.
