Wiscasset boys’ basketball team defeated Monmouth 63-49 Monday night in Wiscasset to snap a two-game losing streak and improve their record to 8-6. The Wolverines are sitting in seventh place with four games left in the season.
Wiscasset jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and led 13-7 at the break, led by freshman JD Souza with 7 points. The Mustangs stampeded back in the second frame, led by Billy Cummings off the bench, to take a 25-19 lead at the half.
