LincolnHealth to Offer Free Memory Screenings Nov. 7
For the fourth year in a row, LincolnHealth will offer free, confidential cognitive screenings to help community members determine if they may be experiencing memory changes outside of those normally associated with aging.
Former US SBA Administrator Endorses Maxmin Submitted article
Chloe Maxmin, candidate for House District 88, has been endorsed by former U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Karen G. Mills. Mills served in President Barack Obama’s cabinet as administrator of the U.S. SBA from 2009-2013. Mills also served as the chair of Maine’s Council on Competitiveness and the Economy from 2007-2008.
Medication Disposal Day is Oct. 27
On Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m., the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office along with the police departments of Boothbay Harbor, Damariscotta, Waldoboro, and Wiscasset will host the semiannual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
Samoset Fish and Game Announces Top Shots
The Samoset Fish and Game Club held shotgun and archery competitions on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the club’s rifle range in Bristol. The day opened to a beautiful crisp morning. Wild turkeys greeted the first arrivals and the colors of autumn were vibrant. Everyone enjoyed some morning refreshments and camaraderie.

Trees for Sale for Second Annual Villages of Light Celebration
Fifty trees lit up Damariscotta and Newcastle last year as part of the first-ever Villages of Light celebration. For 2018, the committee behind the event hopes to make the festivities bigger and brighter with an additional 25 trees.
