The partnership of the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and the Coastal Humane Society will become a permanent partnership the first of the year, according to Joe Montisano, executive director of the Coastal Humane Society. This announcement was made Wednesday, Oct. 21, during an informational meeting at the Board Room in Boothbay Harbor.
Electrical Malfunction Causes Fire at Alna House
A fire caused by an electrical malfunction tore through a West Alna Road home in Alna the night of Wednesday, Oct. 21. The fire originated in an exterior wall of the living room of 855 West Alna Rd. and progressed up the wall and into the roof, State Fire Marshal’s Office Sgt. Ken Grimes said.

On Oct. 1, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a theft of a Champion 7500W generator (value: $1,000) from a residence in the Bremen area. It is unknown when it was taken.
