Lots Of Snow, No Major Damage From Blizzard

Storm Coming in Behind Schedule
Wednesday’s storm seems to have slowed its march toward Lincoln County, with rainfall just beginning to hit the southern most tip of Southport around noon, according to radar images monitored at intellicast.com. The latest combined forecasts indicate the leading edge of the storm should begin to affect Lincoln County in the mid afternoon, bringing an initial burst of mixed precipitation or snow depending on what part of the county you’re in at the time.

The National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning in regard to a weather system forecast to visit Lincoln County beginning early Sunday morning. Lincoln County is on the northern edge of the Winter Weather Advisory area, which means we may see milder weather than areas to the south.
