Highway Safety Grant AwardedThe Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety entitled “Drive Sober, Maine!” This funding will be used for targeted OUI enforcement patrols and a road block detail. Five drug-sniffing dogs and their handlers swept Wiscasset High School in an unannounced check for illicit narcotics at around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 26, according to Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.
