A structure fire on East Pittston Road in Dresden destroyed a family home Tuesday afternoon.

Mutual aid firefighters and emergency personnel are responding to a fully engulfed structure fire in Dresden on East Pittston Road. The call for aid went out at 1:34 p.m.

The area of 300 Duckpuddle Rd. near Bremen Rd. in Nobleboro has been shut down due to a tree and electrical wires blocking the road, according to reports.

For nearly two days after Hurricane Irene, access to Somerville was limited to one route in or out: Rt. 105/206 via Rt. 17. All other roads in and out of northern Somerville were closed due to downed power lines.
