Edgecomb Selectmen Sign Protest Letter To DOT
During their regular meeting Dec. 13, the Edgecomb Board of Selectmen signed a letter to the Maine Dept. of Transportation outlining the towns’ objection to a potential alternative to the recently halted Wiscasset Bypass.

Breaking News – NWS Issue Weather Advisories for Sun. Storm
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Flood Watch and High Wind Warning in regard to a storm expected to roll into Lincoln County Sun. afternoon and batter the area through Mon. morning. The Flood Watch warns of the potential of 2-4 inches of heavy rainfall to combine with snowmelt between Sun. afternoon and late Sun. night, according to the NWS. The High Wind Warning begins at 5 p.m. on Sun. and continues through 7 a.m. Mon., according to the NWS. Sustained wind velocities are forecast to be 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph coming out of the east-southeast.

During a meeting Dec. 28, the Lincoln County Commissioners finalized the 2011 budget for the county. The total expenditure was estimated at $10,336.593 with a deduction of $1,322,335 of total revenue and credits.
