Electronic Navigation Course
An electronic navigation course will take place on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Wiscasset Middle High School, aimed at those overwhelmed by all the functions on a GPS or chart plotter, those who want to use a tablet or smartphone to help navigate on a boat, and those interested in using a desktop computer program to plan a cruise and then copy that information to a GPS.
Parent Program of Mid-Coast Maine Inc. Fundraiser
The newly named Parent Program of Mid-Coast Maine Inc., formerly known as the Teen and Young Parent Program of Knox County Inc., will be holding a silent auction fundraising event at Skidompha Library, at 184 Main St. in Damariscotta, beginning Monday, Sept. 25 through Tuesday, Oct. 3. Clamshell Quilters Meeting
Clamshell Quilters will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11 at Faith Baptist Church, 144 Mills Road, Newcastle. Host Judy Sala will show attendees how to make a fabric bowl out of clothesline and fabric strips. She predicts everyone should go home with a completed project.
Baked Bean Supper in Newcastle
On Saturday, Sept. 9 from 5-7 p.m., Sheepscott Community Church will host a public baked bean supper at the Sheepscot Clubhouse, 619 Sheepscot Road, Newcastle. Featured will be homemade baked beans and breads, franks, and a variety of salads and sides, pies, and beverages. There will be both inside and outside seating, weather permitting.

South Bristol Historical Society Hosts Trivia Night at Coveside
The South Bristol Historical Society will host its first Trivia Night at Coveside Marina & Restaurant, at 105 Coveside Road, Rutherford Island (South Bristol), on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. People are encouraged to come and show off their knowledge of South Bristol while they enjoy food and drink.
