George Walker Christopher, 62, of Alna, passed away in a tragic accident on his Harley Davidson motorcycle on June 6, 2019 in Wiscasset. Born on April 22, 1957 in Augusta, he was a son of Michael and Patricia Christopher.

Jane Carew Cotton Lee, 87, a lifelong summer resident of Walpole, died on May 4, 2019 following a long illness. Born in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 17, 1931, she was the eldest daughter of Henry Kyd Douglas and Jane Carew Reifsnyder Cotton.

Major Glenn B. MacDonald, USAR (Ret), former network newsman and veteran wire-service reporter, died at his home in Jefferson on May 26, 2019.
Major MacDonald was born in Gardiner, Feb. 26, 1947, the son of the late Mrs. Marian Graffam of Rome, N.Y., and the late Judge Paul A. MacDonald, of Woolwich, Maine.
