Herbert William “Sam” Birch, 84, passed away after a long illness on Aug. 17 in Coopers Mills.

Neil Andrew Prior, 43, formerly of New Harbor, passed away after a brave and hard fought battle against a rare form of cancer, on the afternoon of Aug. 15 at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fla.

Daniel Eugene Benner, 35, of Waldoboro, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 20. He was born Jan. 2, 1982.

Marni Mae Lawson, 68, of Waldoboro, passed away at the Sussman House in Rockport on Aug. 19.

Judith Svea (Carlson) Moreau, 76, of Franklin, Mass., passed away suddenly on Aug. 18 at Milford Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of her beloved soul mate Ernest R. Moreau, a.k.a. Bumpa.  

Betty Crocker, of Coopers Mills, left this life Aug. 20 surrounded by her four children. Betty was born May 7, 1946, the youngest child of Delbert F. and Inez R. Sproul Brann.

Ann D. Severson, 89, of Jefferson, passed away at Cove’s Edge surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 19.

Stephen (Randy) Randall Parmley, 65, of Morristown, N.J. and Waldoboro, passed away peacefully at his home in Waldoboro on July 26.

Thomas Allen, of Damariscotta, passed away June 25. He lived in Damariscotta in the last few years of his long life.

Dollena Prescott, 84, died Aug. 13 in Tucson, Ariz. She was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Waldoboro, the daughter of Lillian Rector and Delma Pierce.
