Wayne “Patrick” King Jr., 36, passed away on the morning of May 1 in Windham. Born in Damariscotta on July 11, 1979, he was the son of Wayne King Sr. of Newcastle, and Sharon (Estabrook) Knight of Waldoboro.

Georgianna Stetson Sandeen, 90, of Damariscotta, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 27 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born in Newcastle on July 14, 1925, she was the daughter of Arthur and Frances House Stetson.

A celebration of life for Edith F. Chaney, 92, of Edgecomb, who died Feb. 25, will be held at 2 p.m., Sun., May 15 at the Edgecomb Congregational Church.

Norma Moody Dion, 81, of Nobleboro, died on April 8 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Born on April 22, 1934 in Damariscotta, she was the daughter of R. Ellis and Thelma (Donnell) Moody and was a member of the Class of 1952 at Waldoboro High School.

Joyce Sina (Knudson) Randall, went to heaven on the afternoon of April 29. Born on Feb. 22, 1921 in Balaton, Minn., she was the daughter of George Lloyd Knudson and Augusta Julianna Elizabeth Larson.

Robert Yates Poland, 90, of Damariscotta, passed away on the evening of April 26 at LincolnHealth – Miles Campus. Born on March 30, 1926 in Round Pond, he was the son of Mabel Yates and Harold Eugene Poland.

A graveside service for Chester M. “Chet” Burns, of Friendship, who passed away on Feb. 21, will be held 1 p.m., Fri., May 20 at the Harbor View Cemetery in Friendship.

Marguerite “Peggy” Guilmette Sherman, 87, passed away April 14 after a long and successful life in Boothbay Harbor, and a comfortable stay at Chase Point Assisted Living in Damariscotta. She fought a valiant fight to the end and showed us all what it means to be strong. She was born on May 28, 1928 in Berlin, N.H.

George Herman Ames Jr., 78, of Warren, passed away on April 26 after a courageous battle with cancer. George was born on Feb. 2, 1938 in Washington, the son of George and Louise (Lincoln) Ames.

Rendall Elton Hyson, 82, of Boothbay Harbor, died peacefully in Damariscotta on April 25 with his loving family by his side. Rendall was born July 22, 1933 to Charles and Cycely (Kirkpatrick) Hyson in Boothbay Harbor, where he graduated from Boothbay High School, Class of 1951.

Shirley Miete, 81, of Wiscasset, died April 20 at Maine Medical Center, Portland.

Wally Huber Schweighauser, 103, of Nobleboro, passed away peacefully at her home on April 22. At the time of her passing, she was Nobleboro’s oldest citizen, holding the Golden (Boston Post) Cane. Born in Basel, Switzerland, on Sept. 3, 1912, Wally lived an amazing life.
