The Rev. Dr. Mary Jeanette Harrington, 58, of Sheepscot, renowned Unitarian Universalist minister and co-founder of Gulf Coast Volunteers for the Long Haul, died Oct. 26 at home after a courageous struggle with ALS.

Helen Catherine Macpherson Gillespie, 93, of Damariscotta, died on Oct. 13 at Cove’s Edge, with her family by her side.

Kate Crane, 92, a resident of Chase Point, formerly of Stonington, Conn., died Oct. 2 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta after a period of failing health.

Alexander “Whip” Buck, 80, died peacefully Oct. 24, surrounded by his family at Capital Healthcare Hospital in Trenton, N.J.

Lindsey Milan Chapman Merritt, 12, died peacefully of cancer at home with her family Oct. 7. She was the daughter of Del and Jacqueline Merritt of Damariscotta.

Diane Clara “Dee Dee” Weymouth, 46, of Fairfield, died peacefully Sept. 7 at the Oak Grove Center in Waterville after a long battle with liver disease.

Leslie E. Larrabee, 58, of Whitefield, died unexpectedly.

Helen F. Vierling, 96, of Damariscotta, born in Hackensack, N.J. on Feb. 11, 1914, passed away in the early hours of Sept. 14 at her home.

June W. Burns, 92, of Bremen, died Sept. 5 at her home.

Rodney T. Cooke, 86, passed away Sept. 5 at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta.

Daniel John Moran, 45, of Waldoboro, died Sept. 12 at his home.

Loretta Briggs, 98, of Newcastle, passed away on the morning of Sept. 1 at the Lincoln Home in Newcastle.

Susanna C. Starr, 54, of Warren, died at home Sept. 24 after an extended illness.
