Melissa Brewer Booker, 46, of Boothbay Harbor, died Sept. 5 at the Hospice House in Auburn.

Mary Alice (Moody) Haskell, 78, of Coopers Mills, passed away with her family by her side on Aug. 31 at Country Manor Nursing Home after a short illness.

David W. Swetland, 93, of Alna, died on Sept. 11 of cancer. Active until his final three weeks, he spent his last days looking over the fields of his home.

Ernestine Munro Dodge, 100, of East Boothbay, passed away Aug. 23.

Winifred C. Long, 88, born Winifred Christina Kiessling on April 17, 1921 in Boston, Mass., passed away at the Highlands in Topsham on Aug. 6.

Dorothy Basile, 85, of Somerset, N.J. and Bremen, passed away July 26 at The Somerset Valley Home in Bound Brook, N.J.

John Murray Henry, 88, of Wiscasset, formerly of Hartford and Colebrook, Conn., died Aug. 16 after a brief illness.

Carolyn B. “Carey” Conroy, 66, of Walpole, passed away at her home on Aug. 3 after a long, courageous battle with leukemia.

John D. Pellett, Jr. passed away in Damariscotta on Aug. 8 during his annual visit to his family home in Friendship.

Caroline Anne Miller-Woodbury, 62, of Newcastle, went home with the Lord on July 31.

Stephen Benjamin Amdur, 69, of Monhegan Island, died in Damariscotta on Aug. 6 from complications associated with heart disease.

Mona Ackerman, 77, of Franklin, N.H., died at the Franklin Regional Hospital on Aug. 24.

Memorial service for Barbara S. Lockhart, who passed away on Oct. 25, 2008 in Wilmington, N.C., will be held at the Harrington Meeting House 10 a.m., Sat., Aug. 15.

Sandra M. (Kimball) Carter, 46, of Newport, died July 29.
