To the Editor:
My dad is a 78-year-old gentleman who has battled many years with cancer, diabetes, polyneuropathy and all the horrible complications that go with these issues including amputation.
A Thank You To Our Many Friends
To the Editor:
As a follow-up to J.W. Oliver’s kind article of Oct. 27 on Chesapeake Safe Harbor closing down by year’s end…
Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc
To the Editor:
I’ve been watching the water fluoridation argument over the last several months with a certain disdain for the quality of scientific arguments from the anti-side of the debate.
Fire station completed
To the Editor:
It is with great pleasure that I announce to the Citizens of Edgecomb that our new fire station is complete and totally functioning.
Cannot Support It As Presented
To the Editor:
Two things in particular stuck with me from those leadership labs of long ago.
First, accountability takes its place alongside authority and responsibility in the triangle of essentials.
No Statue Or Plaque
To the Editor:
We are three retired schoolteachers from San Francisco, Cal., who visited your lovely town in October.

Memories of Damariscotta
“Childhood Memories of the Maine Central RR Station,” by Calvin and Marjorie Dodge drew me back to the 1940s as I too grew up in Damariscotta. (LCN, 11/14/11, Page 13)
To all involved
Thank you to all involved in the recent repairs and restorations to the Walpole, Huston, Woodward Cemetery on Bristol Road, Damariscotta. It was a job well done by our Cemetery Board and, most recently, by residents of Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.
Welfare Recipients Should Be Drug Tested
I believe that Governor LePage is right and the welfare recipients should be drug tested. I think it is an insult to the hard working Mainers who pay State taxes that help support the welfare recipient. Why should our tax dollars support a drug addiction?
GIVE THANKS
Each year at this time, as we pause to give thanks for the blessings we enjoy, we are especially thankful as we consider the letter from Waldoboro Selectman Steve Cartwright last week, and the responses he engendered this week.
Herman Cain 2012
