To the Editor:

I look forward to discussing with my friend, David Kolodin, the disastrous ways that our country reacted to the criminal hijacking and crashing of four planes on Sept. 11, 2001.

Sam has a great responsibility, but he’s been quite remiss. This is not his fault, however, it’s strictly mine.

I simply haven’t taken him out for the required visits to the hospital and/or health centers, primarily because it’s somewhat difficult to arrange a ride for both of us…

Yes, almost all of the 65,000,0000 gallons of water Damariscotta and Newcastle pay to fluoridate each year goes down the drain, fluoride and all, without ever touching teeth.

“We have a winner,” is an old expression in the gaming industry, but before these words are spoken there have to be a lot of losers first.

Enough is enough! I am sick and tired of all the hyperbole, innuendos, fabrications, insinuations and allegations when it comes to the elimination of voting rights of Maine’s citizens.

The weather, the crowds, the packed streets, the busy shops, restaurants, bed and breakfasts; the gleeful fun of smashing a car with a giant pumpkin dropped from 200 feet up, or strapping an engine onto a formerly 700 pound gourd: by almost any measure, we could declare Pumpkinfest 2011 a glowing success.

I was quite disturbed to read the Department of Public Safety is seriously considering the consolidation of 9-1-1 call centers. Let me tell you why.
