Welcome back June, we missed you.
Characters of the County: Living the Good Life with Frank Lowell
Frank Lowell lives in the barn on the property his parents left to him on Route 215 in Jefferson. The handsome looking white farmhouse next to the barn is vacant, as Lowell has crafted a comfortable apartment for himself on the barn’s second floor.
Round Pond
For many years B.J. and Roy Hudson hung the flags up and down the village in time for Memorial Day. After Roy passed, B.J. took on Michael Taillon as his flag helper. Finally the rain stopped on Sunday so that they could hang all 23 mounts and flags to the phone poles. Unfortunately every year so many of them get torn down by large trucks hauling boats, cars, etc., which cannot be helped. The Round Pond Village Improvement Society funds the flags.

Bringing Food Home Time To Visit The Market!
Last week was the opening day for some of our farmers markets and we are so grateful to be part of these communities. The opening of outdoor markets is one of the most exciting signs of spring and summer, and such a great way to connect after the winter. Now, more than ever, is a time to support our local farmers and come together in community. Going to a farmers market is one of the best ways to do just that.

It’s no secret many of us look forward to this time of year, viewing the fresh air and plentiful sunshine as a reward for shoveling snow and avoiding ice patches on sidewalks. Along with the shift in weather, there comes the annual uptick in visitors to the Pine Tree State.
