Lincoln County Football will offer two free football camps for athletes entering grades 1-12. Both camps are non-contact skills camps.

The results of the Sheepscot Links Twilight League from July 12 are as follows: low gross (37) Dave Clifford and Rich McDonald, low net (27) Buster McLellan and Dave Morris, closest to the pin on #8 Matt Gordon, and longest drive Eddie McCarthy.

Oceanside hit the cover off the ball in their 18-6 win over Medomak in the District 2 11&12 baseball all-star semifinals on July 13 in Knox. Hunter Norton led the charge, driving in seven runs on five hits, including three home runs, to power Oceanside to an 18-6 lead over Medomak 11&12 Little League all-stars on July 13 in Knox. Norton hit an RBI double in the first, a two-run home run in the fourth, a solo home run in the fifth, and a three-run blast in the sixth.

Due to a glitch in paperwork, Lincoln Little League players from Boothbay and Wiscasset have been ruled ineligible by Maine Little League to play in the District 2 and state playoffs. Wiscasset has been a part of Lincoln Little League for three years, and Boothbay for two.

The Summer Run for Fun starts on June 22 at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro.

Lincoln Academy will be hosting an Ultimate Frisbee Round Robin Tournament on July 24 to raise funds to purchase four AED’s. The tournament will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the turf field. The rain date is July 31. The cost is $150 per team. Teams can consist of 10-20 players, but only seven players can be on the field at one time. The minimum age is 14. All proceeds will go to the Lincoln Academy AED Fund for the purchase and maintenance of LA’s AEDs on campus.

Leavitt defeated Lincoln Academy softball 4-1 on June 8 in a South Class B preliminary game. The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when the Hornets scored three.

Winslow softball defeated Medomak 5-2 on Saturday, June 11 to advance to the North Class B finals. Hillary Libby struck out 10 in the win (4B,4H).

Lincoln Academy sophomore Tahlia Mullen ran to State Gold in the 200 and 400 at the State Class B track and field championships on Saturday, June 4.
