Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley boys basketball teams won their Regional quarter-final games and advance to the semi-finals.

Medomak Valley boys basketball team will play for the KVAC title Sat., Feb. 7 at Cony High School in Augusta at 5 p.m.

Lincoln Academy boys basketball team defeated Morse 53-48 in a West Class B quarter-final game at the Portland Expo Saturday morning.

8th seed Maranacook upset top seed Boothbay boys basketball team 57-54 Monday night in a West Class C quarterfinal game.

Herman upset Medomak Valley girls 42-30 in an East Class B quarter-final match-up in Bangor Friday afternoon.

Four Medomak Valley wrestlers placed at the East Class B championships, held at Medomak on Sat., Feb. 7.

Boothbay Region High School hosted the Mt.Valley Conference championships Friday night, featuring the Lady Seahawks against Dirigo, and Boothbay boys against Winthrop.

Both the boys and girls basketball teams from Boothbay Region, Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley have qualified for post season play.

Lincoln Academy senior Alex Organ won the KVAC 800m run, held at Bowdoin College on Saturday.

Medomak Valley girls basketball coach Randy Hooper was recognized Saturday for being the KVAC girls Coach of the Year.

“Tickets for the Class B State Championship game will go on sale Thursday, February 26 at 8:00 AM. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis in the main office at Medomak Valley High School. Adults $8 and Students/Senior Citizens $5. Checks must be made payable to Medomak Valley High School. Sales will run through 2:00 Friday, or until all tickets are sold. All tickets are general admission. There is no reserved seating.”
