Medomak Middle School’s wrestling team placed third at the Pine Tree Wrestling League East Regional championships March 19 in Belfast. Camden Rockport won the East title and Mattanawcook placed second.

Medomak Valley Successfully Defends KVAC Cheering Title
Medomak Valley cheerleaders successfully defended their Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference title on Monday, Jan. 18 at the Augusta Civic Center. The KVAC championship was the fourth in six years for the Lady Panthers. They also won in 2011, 2013, and 2015. They were runners-up in 2012 to Leavitt and 2014 to Gardiner.

Medomak Valley cheerleaders successfully defended their KVAC title on Monday at the Augusta Civic Center. Medomak also won the Jamie Beth Shible award for the Most Improved cheerleading squad.

Camden Hills girls basketball team defeated Medomak Valley 45-36 on January 18 in Waldoboro. The Lady Panthers pulled within two late in the third quarter. Camden scored 10 straight points over two quarters to pull ahead.

The Lincoln County Football Eagles defeated the Valley Mustangs 36-20 Nov. 7 to win the Maine Independent Football League championships.
Lady Eagles Win Two, Boys Split Games at Matthew Budrow Memorial Tournament
Lincoln Academy girls basketball team defeated Mt. Ararat and Nokomis at the eighth annual Matthew Budrow Memorial Tournament on Nov. 21 in the Nelson Bailey Gymnasium in Newcastle. All proceeds from the tournament go into the Budrow Scholarship fund.
LA Breaks Ground For New Baseball Field
Mark Hanley Construction, of Bristol, has been awarded the bid for the contract to build the new Lincoln Academy baseball field. The field will be built on the footprint of the field hockey and girls lacrosse field.

The Lincoln Academy Alumni Council will induct six new members into the LA Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 27 at 6:15 p.m. in the Bailey Gymnasium. The award presentation will take place following the girls alumni basketball game.

The Medomak JV girls soccer team has wrapped up its season with four wins. “We were on the losing end of many close contests. With small numbers, every girl worked hard to support the team and played hard in an attempt to win,” coach Scott Hastings said.
