The Purple Panthers plucked the Eagles 71-18 Saturday night in Newcastle.

Wiscasset boys’ basketball team got back on the winning track with a 82-47 win over Carrabec Wednesday afternoon in Wiscasset.

Camden Hills girls’ basketball team defeated Medomak 57-39 Thursday night in Waldoboro.

Belfast 7th grade boys won the Busline B division title with a 64-30 win over Boothbay. Boothbay 7th girls beat Oceaside 44-30 for the 7th grade Busline League title.

Due to the heavy amount of illnesses at MT View and LA, the games scheduled for this Friday have been postponed until Tuesday, 1/22. The game times will remain the same, JV-5 and VAR-6:30 for both the boys and the girls.

There will be no basketball practices at LA today or tomorrow. Boys varsity will be at the Y on Saturday morning for practice at 7am.

The cheer squad will practice today at 4:15, tomorrow (Friday at 2:45), and Saturday as scheduled.

Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team defeated Leavitt 66-51 Friday night in Waldoboro.

GSB 8th grade girls’ basketball team defeated Boothbay 40-23 Saturday at Medomak Middle School to win the Busline Large Division championship.

Winslow defended their home turf against Medomak Valley Tuesday night for a 73-61 win in KVAC boys’ basketball action.

Medomak Middle School won the Busline League Cheering championship Wednesday.

Lincoln Academy girls’ basketball team beat Waterville Saturday afternoon.

Lincoln Academy wrestlers split a double duel meet in Newcastle on Jan. 2, beating Oceanside 48-24, and falling to Winslow 42-36.

Medomak Middle School cheerleaders won the Busline League championship.

Wiscasset girls’ basketball team stayed within striking distance of Madison for much of the game Friday night, in their 50-38 loss.

Medomak Valley hosted a four team meet on Saturday, and won against Lincoln Academy with a shuffled line up 51-30.
