Last June at the Bristol Athletic Banquet, a fundraiser was kicked off in a ceremony that reunited Bristol’s first Boys’ and Girls’ Middle School Basketball Champions for a new game clock.

Medomak Valley cheerleaders placed 10th in the State Class B championships, held at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday.

It was a tie all around going into the final round of play for YMCA tennis. All teams had equal wins and losses. In order to secure first place, the CLC 6.0 tennis team needed to win both matches on Feb. 7 at the Racket & Fitness club in Portland.

The CLC YMCA in Damariscotta is hosting a boys’ basketball undergrad tournament this week. Medomak defeated Boothbay 87-63 in the first game of the tournament on Monday.

The 2010 lacrosse season is only a few months way, and the Damariscotta River Lacrosse Club (DRLC) is looking to sign up this year’s players by the end of March. The team accepts 6th-8th graders, and experience is not necessary.

Fifth ranked Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team upset fourth seed Presque Isle 46-42 Saturday morning in Bangor in the East Class B quarterfinals.

Lincoln Academy varsity baseball coach Greg Rice will be offering a baseball clinic to players aged 8-14 (no high school students) on five consecutive Saturdays, starting on Feb. 27 and including March 6, 13, 20 and 27.

Registrations for the 2010 Waldoboro Little League season will take place on Wed.-Thurs., March 17, 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall (Jefferson Street) and on Wed., March 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Friendship Village School.
