Medomak Valley wrestler Cheyenne Augustine and Lincoln Academy wrestler Olivia Genthner take second in States

Gabrielle DePatsy, Waldoboro, won the Maine Elks Association State Hoop Shoot competition, for girls aged 8-9, on Sun., Jan. 31 at Brewer High School.

Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team handed Lincoln Academy a 49-29 loss in Newcastle in the two teams’ KVAC season finale on Feb. 4.

Hall-Dale boys’ basektball team defeated Wiscasset 53-43 Monday night in a West C quarterfinal match-up at the Augusta Civic Center.

Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team, edged Oak Hill on the road Tuesday night, 51-50, and lost a close contest with top ranked Camden on Jan. 29. Medomak is 13-4, with one game remaining in their KVAC schedule, at Lincoln on Feb. 4.

Lincoln Academy boys’ basketball team finished the season with an 11-7 record and are seeded 6th in West Class B. They travel to the Portland Expo on Sat., Feb. 13 for an 11 a.m. game against 3rd seed Mt. Valley.

Medomak Valley senior Trever Neilson placed second at the State Wrestling championships.

Top seed Camden Hills defeated Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team 69-48 in the East Class B semifinals on Wed., Feb. 17 at the Bangor Auditorium, to advance to the Regional championships with Ellsworth.

Two Medomak Valley wrestlers won Eastern Maine Class B wrestling titles on Saturday in Pittsfield.

Medomak Valley boy’s basketball team defated Presque Isle Saturday morning in Bangor to advance to the East B semifinals against Camden.

The Wiscasset Unsinkables swim team had 47 athletes compete in the Swim-Your-Own-Age meet held in Westbrook Jan. 16. and 17.

Lincoln Academy girls’ swim team won three KVAC titles Friday night at the Bath YMCA in school record breaking time. Freshman Kara Mullin won the 200 individual medley, Valeska Vaughn won the 100 freestyle, and the Lady Eagles won the 200 free relay with Mullin, Vaughn, Katie Jackson and Olivia DeLisle swimming a leg. Lincoln girls also set a school record in the 200 medley relay. The girls will ring the Lincoln Academy school bell on Monday morning to celebrate their championships.
