Wiscasset boys keep their title hopes alive with a win over Winthrop.

Wiscasset and Boothbay girls’ basketball teams battled each other every step of the way in an exciting Mt. Valley Conference match-up Monday night in Wiscasset.

The CLC YMCA gymnastics team competed in three meets this season, at Ellsworth with Bath and MDI on Jan. 4, at Oxford with Rumford on Jan. 25, and at Waterville with Bangor and Auburn on Feb. 1.

Medomak Valley rolls and the Lincoln Academy Lady Eagles fall in prelimnanary playoff action Wednesday.

Lincoln girls and Wiscasset boys won a three way swim meet with Camden on Jan. 27. Wiscasset swimmer Rachel Hanley broke her own record in the 100 breast in a winning time of 1:16.25. Hanley also won the 50 free in 27.01.

Lincoln Academy and Wiscasset swim teams broke relay records in their first home meet of the season on Jan. 16.

Wiscasset boys’ basketball team improved to 9-1 with wins over Winthrop and Telstar this week.

Medomak Valley cheerleaders placed 2nd to Waterville in the KVAC championships, held at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday.

Lincoln Academy and Wiscasset swimmers lost to Brunswick and Mt. Ararat on Jan. 6 in Brunswick.

Indoor Field Hockey is great exercise and the CLC YMCA is opening their floor for the sport during the winter months

The YMCA will again be opening their gym for indoor field hockey pickup games on Sundays from 1-2 p.m., starting Jan. 11.
