Medomak Valley girls’ soccer team had all they could handle Saturday night at Lincoln Academy’s Homecoming in Newcastle. Maia Snow scored the game winner, on a pass from Rozanne Jelenfy, 21 seconds into the second overtime period to lift the Lady Panthers to a 2-1 win. With the win Medomak improves to 8-1.

Medomak Valley girls improved their record to 12-1 with one game to go, at Gardiner on Oct. 15.

Defending KVAC boys’ cross-country champions, Medomak Valley, were unable to defend their title on Saturday at the 2008 championships at UMA in Augusta.

 

Lincoln Academy’s field hockey team has made dramatic improvements this season, but has not sealed a win heading into the final week of the season.

Wiscasset’s golf team won the MVC State qualifier on Oct. 8 with a team round of 340 to earn the right to compete for the State Class C championship held at Natanis Golf Course on Oct. 10.

Wiscasset golfers Jimmy Davis (78) and Jordan Jones (79) placed 6th and 7th respectfully at the State Class C Individual golf championships.

 

After blowing up at the KVAC Shootout at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro on Oct. 2, Lincoln Academy‘s golf team were back on their game on Tuesday at the KVAC state qualifier at Natanis.

Lincoln Academy’s boys soccer team shelled MCI’s net with 18 first half shots, then upped the pressure in the second half, blitzing the Huskies net with an additional 25 shots.

Boothbay placed five scoring runners in the top 24 to win the Mt. Valley Conference boys’ cross-country championship Saturday morning at UMA in Augusta.

Calvin Robbins gave the River Hawks a 1-0 lead on a rebounded Jesse Slader shot, but Medomak Middle School could not hold off the Wildcats who scored two first half goals to win 2-1.

The Panthers picked up their 10th win of the season on Oct. 8 with a 5-2 win over Belfast in Waldoboro.
