2018 Thanksgiving Community Potluck at the Morris Farm
Wiscasset— The Morris Farm will be holding its annual Thanksgiving Community Potluck dinner on Thursday, November 15 at the Morris Farm, 156 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset. The Farm supplies the turkeys, dressing, gravy and a few fixins.’ There will also be a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and a little musical accompaniment.
Participants bring all the rest: salads, vegetable dishes, desserts and drinks, as well as plates and utensils (if they can). Two seatings are available, the first at 5:00 pm and the second at 6:30 pm. Please sign up on the website: http://www.morrisfarm.org or call 882-4080 or email info@morrisfarm.org to reserve your spot and let the Farm know what
your potluck item will be!
The Morris Farm welcomes the entire community to come out to the farm and help us give thanks for all we have received this year! We are fortunate to have forged relationships with many in our community who value what the Morris Farm contributes. And we just want to say thanks! Thanks to the Master Gardeners Program who this year grew over 800 pounds of produce to contribute to the Boothbay Food Pantry, to the Wiscasset School system for their help though out the year, to our community gardens participants, to the Bowdoin College students who donated work days to help with maintenance of the farm, to the Morris Farm Store vendors, our Farm Educator, our AmeriCorps/Vista volunteer for work on food security, our Board of Directors, and all of those who have donated time and money to the mission of the Morris Farm.
The Morris Farm Trust is both a working farm and an educational resource for the communities of mid coast Maine. As non-profit, educational, membership organization, The Morris Farm Trust promotes the values of sustainable agriculture and stewardship of the earth through education, demonstration and community involvement.
