Historic Tidbit Tasting Tours are hosted by Red Cloak Tours, and will allow you to have some “Tastes” of local foods & specialties as well as iconic Maine foods. We will mix in some “Tidbits” of history about the restaurant/store buildings as well as the foods that you’ll be Tasting.

During the 2 hour tour you’ll have an opportunity to Taste “Tidbits” of all sorts! From lobster to Maine Potato Candy to chowder and much more. (subject to change)

Led by the mysterious “Lady in the Red Cloak” with her lantern, you will see buildings that once seemed ordinary but will take on eerie new dimensions as she relives their history, and that of the ghosts that are said to still reside there. Wind through the back streets and learn the early history of Damariscotta, visit the site of countless seances, experience the haunted Maine Hotel, take a trip by the river and hear about Grandpa’s Ghost.The moderate walk, suitable for all ages, lasts approximately 90 minutes and is by reservation only; $17.50 for adults, $8 for children under 12, free for children under 5. redcloaktours.com, 207-380-3806. The farm adopts elder/special needs animals but also shares them with elder people. The animals will be out and about mingling with guests including goats, llamas, donkeys and more. Rain or Shine. Free but we do ask for donations to help with the work we are doing for both animal and people. No smoking. NO PETS ALLOWED. Children must be accompanied at all times by chaperone.
