It’s been four and a half decades since Jon Pousette-Dart caught the attention of Boston-based music promoter Don Law while playing at the Chicken Box in Nantucket. Law convinced the native New Yorker to move to Boston, became his manager, and in short order, singer-guitarist Pousette-Dart led a duo, then a trio, then a whole band. During the 1970s, the Pousette-Dart Band released 4 albums of harmony-filled, country-tinged folk-rock, and got plenty of radio play with songs including “Amnesia,” “What Can I Say,” and “Freezing Hot.”
Tonight this long-touring musician with music known by heart to a whole generation appears with his bandmate Jim Chapdelaine. Advance discount tickets $25, available only from the box office at 207-633-5159 (open Wed – Fri from 10-2). Regular tickets $30 online at boothbayoperahouse.com, and on the day of show if available.

An energy fueled, traditional band from Scotland. Their roots lie in Scottish and Irish traditional music, including traditional Scots song and Scottish piping tunes and Irish banjo. The four piece group includes Abigail Pryde on Fiddle and Vocals, Keith Morrison on Keys, Alastair Maclean on Bagpipes and Whistles, and Callum Cronin on Bass and Guitar. Their inception as a folk band began in 2014, after spending the first few years of their musical careers perfecting their craft as a young ceilidh dance band. In 2018 they embarked on their first tour of the USA. Coming from vastly different areas of Scotland (Oban, Lewis, Cowal, Glasgow and Stirling ) audiences are guaranteed to hear an excellent story or two from Heron Valley, and maybe even
some Scots language lessons! Advance discount tickets $20, available only from the box office at 207-633-5159 (open Wed – Fri from 10-2).

Celebrating 30-plus years of songs, stories, and music, Don Campbell returns to the Opera House for a special night of original music this fall. He has a unique and uncanny ability to sing comfortably in the tenor range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak or Dan Fogelberg, and go easily into the sub-bass vocal level range of country greats Josh Turner and Johnny Cash. Don Campbell’s music resides in the home of “American crossover” akin to the Eagles and John Cougar Mellencamp. He won the Grand Prize at Nashville’s Grand Ol’ Opry with his original music, a Grand Prize custom Gibson Les Paul guitar from Jim Beam’s Back Room Band Search, and he’s a 6-time winner of the title, “Maine’s Best Singer-Songwriter” from the Maine Sunday Telegram’s Reader’s Poll. With fans across Maine and around the country, Don Campbell and his band bring audiences to their feet nights. Advance discount tickets $25, available only from the box office at 207-633-5159 (open Wed – Fri from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
