Sing the beautiful Franz Schubert Mass in G Major, D. 167 with the Lincoln Festival Chorus this summer! Under the leadership of Artistic Director Linda Blanchard who is assisted by pianist and organist Sean
Fleming, now is the perfect time to join Lincoln Festival Chorus as we celebrate our 44th season.
Composed in just a week in 1815 when the composer was 18, the Mass in G features the charming melodic writing and charm for which Schubert is known. The work will be performed on Friday and Sunday, August 9
and 11. Don’t miss this chance to sing this masterpiece! For more information, contact Lincoln Arts Festival at 207-633-3913 or lincolnartsfestivalbbh@gmail.com.

The evening includes an after-hours look inside one of Maine’s most
fascinating historic houses. Castle Tucker, built in 1807, was the
dream home of Judge Silas Lee and his wife Tempe, who enjoyed an
elegant lifestyle in their unusual new mansion. In 1858, Richard
Tucker, Jr. and his young wife Mollie moved into the house,
immediately turning it into a fashionable Victorian home for their
family of five children, who went on to live extraordinary lives
outside Wiscasset. Hear the stories of this talented family revealed
in the collection of personal letters saved by their granddaughter.
Very little was changed in the house after 1900, so visitors see the
interiors as the Tuckers left them, filled with their furnishings,
belongings and décor, including the 1858 parlor and a kitchen with
four generations of cooking technology still in place where it was
used.

Bigelow Laboratory’s Café Sci is a fun, free way for you to dive into global ocean issues and opportunities with leading scientists, made possible through sponsorship by HM Payson.
As we begin our 50th anniversary celebrations this summer, we’ll spend the 2024 series looking back at key innovations we’ve advanced — and ahead to what they will enable us to accomplish over the next 50 years.
On July 16, to kick off the series, Drs. Barney Balch and Deborah Bronk tell the exciting story of how Bigelow Laboratory evolved into a world-class research institute, and and how it will continue to advance ocean science in the coming decades.
This summer, Café Sci will take place on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. at The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor from July 16 – August 6. Registration is required and space is limited. Reserve your spot today at bigelow.org/cafesci.
