Marshall W. Spaulding Jr., 94, of Edgecomb, formerly of Dover-Foxcroft, husband of the late Martha E. (Willard) Spaulding, passed away Jan. 7 at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.

LA Students Seek Projects for MLK Jr. Day of Service

‘Snow Fence Paintings’ Show at Skidompha
The Carey Gallery at Skidompha Public Library in Damariscotta presents the “Snow Fence Paintings” show, featuring work by Katharina Keoughan and Joy Vaughan, through the month of January. Vaughan and Keoughan are both well known in the area as teachers and painters.
Oxbow Supports Midcoast Conservancy with Catalyst Sales
Oxbow Brewing Company has released Catalyst, its first bottle of the year. The barrel-aged farmhouse ale features estate honey from its farmhouse brewery located in Newcastle. The brewery will donate $1 from the sale of each bottle from both of its tasting rooms, at 274 Jones Woods Road in Newcastle and at 49 Washington Ave. in Portland, to Midcoast Conservancy through Sunday, Jan. 15.
Public Invited to LCRC Planning Meeting
A Lincoln County Recovery Collaborative planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 26, from 5:30-7 p.m., in the Porter Meeting Hall at Skidompha Public Library, 184 Main St., Damariscotta. The purpose of the meeting is to brief community members on the addiction problem in Lincoln County, provide an update on the “Bridges to Recovery” and prevention efforts, and seek answers to the questions “How can we help?” and “What else can we do to be part of the solution?”
