Registration is open for the 2010 Waldoboro Youth Cheering Program. This year, the program will be divided into two divisions: Sideline Cheering (grades K-6) and Competition Cheering (grades 4-6 only).

Robert Spofford Spear
Robert Spofford Spear, 84, of Wiscasset, died Sept. 30. He was born in Portland on Nov. 3, 1925, a son of Leon Clifford and Kathleen (Fitzgerald) Spear.
Police Raids in Result in Five Drug Arrests
A trio of police raids over a two-day period in Lincoln County late last week resulted in the arrests of five people on drug charges, according to Maine State Police spokesperson Steve McCausland. The raids were conducted Sept. 29 and 30 by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA), the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), the Maine State Police, the Maine Warden Service, and the Waldoboro Police Dept. (WPD).
