The Bristol Masonic Lodge is seeking donations of saleable items for its annual yard sale. All proceeds from the yard sale will be directed to the Masonic Scholarship Fund, the Masonic Charitable Fund, and community service as needs arise.

Lincoln Medical Partners is offering walk-in immunization clinics on Saturday, Aug. 17 and Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to noon in Damariscotta. In addition, parents can call to schedule a well-child visit to ensure that their children are healthy and well, up to date on immunizations, and meet the need for sports physicals before they head back to school.

Local Pot Buoys Past and Present on Display
Brightly colored pot buoys bob in the ocean all along the Maine coast. Each fisherman’s buoys have a unique color scheme. Visit the S Road School on Route 129 in South Bristol on Saturdays in August from 1-4 p.m. and step back a few years to the time when buoys were carved from wood rather than the Styrofoam creations that began to be used in the 1960s. The old wooden buoys varied in shape as well.

This Saturday, Aug. 3, from 1-6 p.m. at the Damariscotta Baptist Church, at 4 Bristol Road in Damariscotta, a lovely “Frozen” festival and princess tea party is planned. Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and another princess are going to visit. There will be games, face painting, dancing, music, and food.
