A gasoline- and propane-fueled fire destroyed a storage shed and chicken coop in Bristol the morning of Dec. 30.

With no water on Dec. 20, classes at Medomak Valley High School remained in session but several sporting events were canceled, becoming the second round of water-related cancellations at the school in less than a week.

Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said Dec. 10, following the investigation of the accident involving a pedestrian crossing Main Street in Wiscasset on Nov. 7, a citation was issued to Evan Jones, 19, of Nobleboro. The citation was issued on Dec. 3 for not using care when a pedestrian is in a crosswalk.

A total of 766 households were still without power as a night with single digit temperatures in the forecast descended upon Lincoln County, according to the 5:05 p.m. (Mon., Dec. 30) report from Central Maine Power. A vast majority of the outages, 664, were in Jefferson where residents are still reeling from power outages resulting from an ice storm over the Christmas holiday, according to CMP.
