Like misery, it looks like snowstorms love company. With some 10 inches of snow already blanketing Lincoln County from a weekend Nor’easter, another winter storm is due for Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Driver Summoned for Hitting Pedestrian
Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said Dec. 10, following the investigation of the accident involving a pedestrian crossing Main Street in Wiscasset on Nov. 7, a citation was issued to Evan Jones, 19, of Nobleboro. The citation was issued on Dec. 3 for not using care when a pedestrian is in a crosswalk.

The Damariscotta Police Department plans to purchase a 2013 Ford Interceptor Sedan to replace a vehicle in need of repairs.

Over 700 Homes Still Without Power as Night Falls
A total of 766 households were still without power as a night with single digit temperatures in the forecast descended upon Lincoln County, according to the 5:05 p.m. (Mon., Dec. 30) report from Central Maine Power. A vast majority of the outages, 664, were in Jefferson where residents are still reeling from power outages resulting from an ice storm over the Christmas holiday, according to CMP.

Bristol Wind Committee Reschedules Meeting
The Bristol Wind Power Advisory Committee will meet for the first time at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 23 at the Bristol town office. The meeting is open to the public.
The committee rescheduled the meeting from Dec. 17 due to winter weather.
