Christmas Cove Inn Launches Miles Memorial Fundraiser
Each spring, since the Christmas Cove Inn opened in 2004, the “Public Rose Garden” sign has gone up at the corner of Rt. 129 and Coveside Road inviting passersby to come up to view the annual spectacular “Spring and Summer Explosion of Color” put forth by the 80 rose plants in the hill top garden.

Maine State Police are reconstructing a collision that took place late Thursday night, June 14, on Somerville Road in Somerville.
DOT Schedules South Bristol Bridge Meeting
The Dept. of Transportation has scheduled the next in a series of public meetings about the impending replacement of the South Bristol swing bridge.

Lightning Strike Destroys Newcastle Barn
Early morning lightning strikes called out firefighters in Edgecomb, Boothbay and Newcastle June 26.
In Newcastle, a lightning strike sparked a fire that destroyed an approximately 200-year-old, partially restored, two-story barn and its contents at 526 River Rd.
