The Maine Law Criminal Justice Academy board has voted to decertify Lincoln County Deputy Henry Grenier, a move that could end his police career.

United States Attorney Paula D. Silsby announced that Kurt F. Martin, 54, of Newcastle, was sentenced on February 1, 2010, in U.S. District Court in Bangor, to 15 months imprisonment, three years supervised release, and a $100 special assessment, for the federal crime of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

A Winter Storm Watch issued Mon. was downgraded on Tues. morning to a Winter Weather Advisory, and forecast snowfall totals slid drastically from 4 to 8 inches down to 1 to 3 inches, according to the NWS. Areas south of Lincoln County are still under a Winter Storm Watch.
