Wiscasset selectmen approved the appointment of former Brunswick Town Manager Don Gerrish during their Jan. 19 board meeting to act as interim town manager for Wiscasset.

Child Dies In Bremen Accident
A two year child died early Monday morning after being struck by a car in Bremen. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene on Nobleboro Rd. around 7:34 a.m. The child was transported by ambulance to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta where the child later died, according to the LCSO.
Faucher Signs Agreement, Gerrish Helps Wiscasset Seek A New Town Manager
Former Wiscasset Town Manager Arthur Faucher signed a separation agreement with the town on Jan. 22 and interim town manager Don Gerrish is helping selectmen in the process of seeking another candidate for the position. During the following Board of Selectmen meeting Tuesday night, Gerrish outlined several points selectmen ought to address as they move forward in the process. He said hiring a new town manager for Wiscasset is his first priority.
