The longtime executive director of the Damariscotta River Association and his administrative assistant are on leave.
Both Mark DesMeules and his assistant Caeli Shadis have not been at the DRA headquarters for at least two weeks.
DRA officials declined to comment on the situation.

Yarmouth developer Joe DeLois has had permits for the multi-use project now under construction on Rt. 1 in Wiscasset since 2006. Contractors recently removed a house on the property across the street from Shaw’s supermarket and on Nov. 23 they were clearing and prepping the site.

Boothbay Area High School was evacuated this morning due to a bomb threat to the school. At approximately 11 a.m., a student found a message on a bathroom wall saying a bomb would go off at 11:30 a.m.

Maine health officials have sent a shipment of H1N1 “swine flu” vaccine to Lincoln County and school system officials plan to set up clinics to treat school children next week.
