Christmas Music Featured at Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest
Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6 through Sunday, Dec. 9. Seasonal music will be in the air as one shops, listens, or adds one’s voice to carol singing throughout the village.
Public Wreath-Making Event
The sixth annual public wreath-making event sponsored by Sheepscott Community Church will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 1.
DRA to Host Bird Walk in Search of Northern Shrike
A predatory songbird that feeds on small birds, mammals, and insects, the northern shrike is known for its unusual habit of impaling its prey on thorns or barbed wire to save for later. Naturalist Sarah Gladu, of Damariscotta River Association, will be leading a walk on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. in hopes of spotting northern shrike, which often visit the area this time of year after breeding in taiga and tundra farther north.
Christmas Town & Craft Show in Jefferson
This is the 12th year for the annual Christmas Town & Craft Show at Jefferson Fire & Rescue, at 58 Waldoboro Road in Jefferson, on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to benefit area families for Christmas.
Free Thanksgiving Dinner for Those Alone
For those alone on Thanksgiving Day, a free dinner will be available at the Waldoboro American Legion, at 181 Jefferson St., at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22. It is intended for those who find themselves alone on that day. There are those who, for whatever reason, have no relatives, children, or neighbors to visit that day. This dinner is for them!
Good Supply Teams Up with Which Way Wreaths
The Good Supply in Pemaquid will open its restored post-and-beam barn for holiday shopping on Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Opening day marks Small Business Saturday, and The Good Supply will partner with Alna-based small business owner Rachel Alexandrou, of Which Way Wreaths, to host a wreath and garland pickup event.

Chloe Maxmin, D-Nobleboro, won her race for House District 88 against Michael Lemelin, R-Chelsea. Maxmin is the first Democrat to win this seat, with record midterm turnout and a final vote count of 2,266-2,053.
Cottage Stay, Lobsters, Artwork Up for Auction at Benefit Supper
A one-week stay at a two-bedroom rustic cottage on Damariscotta Lake, a dozen lobsters, works by local artists, creation of a will, and various furniture items and gift certificates are among the many items that will be offered at a silent auction on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the VFW Hall on Mill Street in Waldoboro.

The Jefferson Fire & Rescue and Explorer Post 343 turkey supper will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the firehouse at 204 Waldoboro Road, Jefferson.
Free Class in Making Gingerbread Houses at Opera House
As the Halloween season’s ghosts and goblins scampered home, preparations for the upcoming holiday season at the historic Opera House at Boothbay Harbor began. Pumpkins and skeletons were stowed away to make room for holiday greenery and the launch of the annual Gingerbread Spectacular.
Railway Spooktacular Rescheduled

All Welcome at Damariscotta Trunk-or-Treat
The Damariscotta Police Department, the Central Lincoln County YMCA, and Great Salt Bay Community School are once again teaming up for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat. The event will take place in the GSB back parking lot from 4-6 p.m. on Halloween.
