At the Lincoln
The fall weather is finally here, and with it a great crop of new and exciting movies. The theater’s October calendar is complete and now available. Along with numerous special events — Pumpkinfest celebrations, the launch of the new Met season, a new performance from our kids at Y-Arts, and more from the National Theatre Live — our films this month include “Equity” (R), “Little Men” (PG), “The Beatles: Eight Days a Week – The Touring Years” (NR), “Sully” (PG-13), and “Hell or High Water” (R). As the nights get colder, come to Lincoln Theater and warm up with some great entertainment.

Time for the 10th Annual Damariscotta Pumpkinfest

This Week at The Harbor Theatre
“Florence Foster Jenkins” is playing Thursday, Sept. 22, followed by Tom Hanks in “Sully” this week at The Harbor Theatre.
At the Lincoln
Last week, more than 130 Lincoln Academy sophomores joined us at Lincoln Theater for a broadcast of “Romeo and Juliet.” Next week, 30 Bowdoin College students of theater are coming for a special screening of “A View from the Bridge.” This week, one can join in to see the National Theatre of London as it performs the classic play-with-music “The Threepenny Opera.” Then stay for the weekend for Meryl Streep and her hilarious turn as the endearing Florence Foster Jenkins in “Florence Foster Jenkins.”
At the Lincoln
This week, along with the wonderful film “Indignation,” we have three theatrical broadcasts. For Downton Abbey fans, Lady Rose (Lily James) takes on the role of Juliet in a Shakespeare classic. American theater fans will revel in the modern take of an Arthur Miller classic. And for fans of musicals, Mack the Knife returns. Such fun.

At the Lincoln
As we move toward the fall months, our movie schedule broadens to include other live, or captured-live, performances from around the world. September marks the return of theater performances from London’s West End – including two Shakespeare classics, an American theater classic, and a classic musical, all of which can be seen at Lincoln Theater. And don’t miss “Captain Fantastic,” a family saga that is being talked about as one of the best films of the year.

The service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 11. Weather permitting, the service will be held outside beside the lighthouse, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
