Paul Jacobs Jr., AKA “Grampa,” passed away peacefully at Midcoast Hospital on March 31, 2019 after a long fight with health issues. His family and friends were there with him so he would “not be alone” at the end of his time here on earth, as was his wish.

Jeanette Christakos Taylor, 94, passed away April 19, 2019. She was born June 23, 1924 in Bangor, the daughter of Ernest and Ida (Morgan) Christakos.

Edwin Eugene Hess, 96, of Fallston, Md., passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019. Living just one and a half miles from his birth place, Mr. Hess had a love for the rural life setting.

Paul Edward Fredette, 67, passed away on the evening of April 23, 2019 at the Sussman House in Rockport, with his loving wife by his side. Born on July 20, 1951 in Waterville, he was a son of the late Edward Fredette and Ruth Veilleux.

John Joseph Vencile, 88, passed away on April 23, 2019 at the Sussman House in Rockport, with his loving son by his side. John was born on April 17, 1931 to Andrew and Mary Vencile in Leisenring, Penn.

Claire Darrow, born Claire Fincke McKenzie, in Plainfield, N.J. on May 2, 1935 to Marion F. and Kenneth C. McKenzie, passed on Easter morning, April 21, 2019 surrounded by her husband and children.

James A. Seigars Sr., 85, of Alna Road, Wiscasset, died April 21, 2019 at his residence.

Robert Nason, of Dresden, died peacefully at home on the morning of April 6, 2019, surrounded by the love of his family, his art books and many of his beloved paintings.

April Jo Koehling, 49, of High Street, Bath, died April 21, 2019 at her residence.

William Erwin Mitman, 88, of Whitefield, went to greener pastures on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta, after years afflicted with both Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
