I’m voting for Bruce MacDonald as an independent voice for us.

Bruce MacDonald works hard for all of us in Augusta. He works locally for us as individuals when we need help or questions answered.

As you enter the Nobleboro dump you see two signs. One says “No dump picking.” The other says “This garbage costs you $80 a ton to throw away.”

I was amused reading the Portland newspaper endorsement of Chellie Pingree, a candidate whose biggest priority is to impeach President Bush, for U.S. Congress.

On Friday morning Oct. 3, I was in the Granite Hall Store talking to a couple from Ohio, when the unimaginable happened–unknown to me, old wiring caused the back wall and ceiling upstairs to catch on fire.

At this point in the election cycle I customarily write a letter urging everyone to exercise their right and responsibility, to get out and vote.

I am writing to urge residents of the towns forming the Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit (SVRSU) to vote “yes” on the consolidation question on their town ballot Nov. 4 (towns include Palermo, Somerville, Windsor, Chelsea, Whitefield, Alna, Wiscasset, and Westport Island).
