Medomak Valley girls basketball team skinned the Black Bears in triple overtime on Friday, and crushed the Lions of Belfast 55-25 on Tuesday to improve their record to 9-3. The win over Belfast was the fourth straight for the Panthers.

Three Lincoln County swim teams plus Hyde competed at the Wiscasset Community Center Friday night. Boothbay girls swam to five first-place finishes, Lincoln three, and Wiscasset girls two. For the boys, Lincoln collected four first places and Wiscasset two.

Lincoln Academy wrestlers split their home matches, beating MCI 54-24 and losing to Skowhegan 63-12.

The Panther King and Queens of cheerleading were back Monday night as they reigned supreme, winning their fifth straight regional championship, successfully defending their West Class B cheering title at the Augusta Civic Center, despite a 10 point deduction.

Undefeated Boothbay Region Elementary School successfully defended their Busline League crown Monday night to win their second straight championship.

The Lincoln Academy boys swim team won a tri-meet with Winslow and Boothbay on Jan. 23 at the Boothbay Region YMCA. The Eagles scored 66, Winslow 20, and Boothbay 1.
