Both the boys and girls basketball teams from Boothbay Region, Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley have qualified for post season play.

Lincoln Academy senior Alex Organ won the KVAC 800m run, held at Bowdoin College on Saturday.

Medomak Valley girls basketball coach Randy Hooper was recognized Saturday for being the KVAC girls Coach of the Year.

“Tickets for the Class B State Championship game will go on sale Thursday, February 26 at 8:00 AM. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis in the main office at Medomak Valley High School. Adults $8 and Students/Senior Citizens $5. Checks must be made payable to Medomak Valley High School. Sales will run through 2:00 Friday, or until all tickets are sold. All tickets are general admission. There is no reserved seating.”

Medomak Valley boys basketball team won the KVAC championship Saturday night at Cony High School.

Medomak Valley boys basketball will play Cape Elizabeth for the State B championship at the Cross Arena in Portland (former Cumberland County Civic Center) on Fri., Feb. 27 at 9 p.m.

The Medomak Valley Panthers defeated Winslow 51-48 to win the East B Regional boys basketball championship in Bangor Saturday afternoon.

Madison defeated Wiscasset boys basketball team 77-45 Tuesday night in Madison.

Cape Elizabeth boys basketball team pulled out a 44-42 come from behind win to defeat the Medomak Valley Panthers for the State Class B Championship Friday night in Portland.

Second seed Cape Elizabeth boys basketball team defeated sixth seed Lincoln Academy 57-39 in a West Class B semi-final at the Cross Arena in Portland on Feb. 19.

After a slow start, Lincoln Academy girls basketball team out scored Mt.View 25-7 in the second half to pull out a 42-24 win Tuesday on the road.
