Lincoln Academy will induct six new members into the school’s Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, Nov. 28 during alumni basketball festivities. The awards presentation will take place between games at 6 p.m. in the Nelson Bailey Gymnasium. This is the third annual induction ceremony.

Lincoln Academy and Medomak Valley girls basketball teams defeated Mt. Ararat and Nokomis, and Medomak boys beat Mt. Ararat and Waterville in the Matthew Budrow Memorial Basketball Tournament on Saturday at Lincoln Academy.

Boothbay Region boys cross country team placed third in the State Class C championships, held at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast in the wind and rain on Saturday.

Another upset was not in the making Friday night, as 12th ranked Medomak Valley Panthers boys soccer team traveled to Ellsworth to take on the number one seed in the East.

Great Salt Bay Community School runner Sam Russ won the 2014 Busline League cross-country championship Monday, Oct. 20 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast. Russ beat out second-place runner Brendan Moline, of Troy Howard, by 21 seconds.

Lincoln Academy’s young golf team wrapped up their KVAC season with a 6-4 record and seeded third in the KVAC South Division.

Lincoln Academy girls soccer team battled through double overtime twice this week and settled for ties with Medomak Valley and Erskine Academy.
