Lincoln County Football defeated Cony JV 30-6 on Monday.

The grandstand and infield at Windsor Fair were filled to capacity Aug. 27 as thousands of fans flocked to the area to watch the truck and tractor pulls. Two local drivers, Derek Chapman of Jefferson and John Blodgett of Waldoboro competed.

Bayley Pendleton scored the game winning goal by way of a penalty stroke with 44 seconds left in double overtime, to give a jubilant Lincoln Academy field hockey team their first varsity win since 2006. The dramatic 2-1 victory came in the team’s KVAC opener against the Morse Shipbuilders.

Fifty-five boats competed in the 28th annual Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races, held in Pemaquid Harbor, Aug. 10. Over $15,000 in prize money and gift certificates, donated by local businesses and from anonymous donors, were given away.
