Black Belt Instructor Hal Pierce has announced the promotion of two area Martial Artists in Defensive Solution’s Tao Martial Arts program.

Lincoln Academy’s boys soccer team shelled MCI’s net with 18 first half shots, then upped the pressure in the second half, blitzing the Huskies net with an additional 25 shots.

Calvin Robbins gave the River Hawks a 1-0 lead on a rebounded Jesse Slader shot, but Medomak Middle School could not hold off the Wildcats who scored two first half goals to win 2-1.
Medomak Valley boys’ soccer team defeated Gardiner 4-1 on Oct. 15 in their KVAC finale, to improve their record to 11-3. The win puts them in the KVAC championship game on Oct. 22.
The softball diamonds in Waldoboro were busy over the weekend as 12 teams faced each other in a one-pitch co-ed softball tournament Oct. 11-12.
The Panthers picked up their 10th win of the season on Oct. 8 with a 5-2 win over Belfast in Waldoboro.
